The diesel constraint

What it costs to run beyond the grid.

Remote sites run on diesel. It arrives by winter road during a season that shortens each year, by barge during a shipping window measured in weeks, or by air at a cost that makes every kilowatt-hour expensive.

The fuel then has to be stored on site, in volume, through the winter. Tank farms can leak, spills in permafrost are difficult to remediate, and the cost of the last mile means northern operations pay more for the same energy.

A different delivery model

One module. Replace the diesel convoy with solid, stable metal fuel.

A reactor module produces heat and hydrogen energy from aluminum and water. On-site electricity may be generated through fuel cells or generators, with output pending validation.

Diesel model

Liquid fuel is trucked, flown, or barged in, stored in bulk containment, and consumed separately for power and heating.

Modular reactor model

A stable solid feedstock is delivered to a containerized module. On-site heat and hydrogen energy can support site-configured generation, subject to infrastructure and supply needs.

Cold weather hardening

Testing for the
conditions it has
to work in.

Equipment that works in Hamilton does not automatically work in Inuvik. Qualification for northern deployment requires testing the reactor against the operating conditions it will face.

Programme details remain pending disclosure. No northern qualification or certification is claimed.

Canada's defence industrial base

Working with TKMS.

In July 2026, the Government of Canada selected TKMS as preferred supplier for the Canadian Patrol Submarine Project. Canada and TKMS have entered negotiations; no final procurement contract has been announced.

GH Power and TKMS operate under a non-binding memorandum of understanding, evaluating how GH Power's modular technology could support future defence, maritime, and industrial manufacturing applications in Canada.

GH Power may participate in Industrial and Technological Benefits initiatives under TKMS's proposed Canadian industrial strategy. Any participation is subject to the Government of Canada's selection and prioritization of specific projects, and to negotiation and execution of definitive agreements.

Remote communities

Communities, not
just installations.

Many communities across northern Canada generate electricity from diesel because no grid connection was ever built. The cost is carried locally in energy prices, air quality, environmental risk, and dependence on imported fuel.

Modular generation offers heat and power from the same community-scale installation. Northern energy projects work when they are led by the communities they serve, developed as partnerships with ownership and benefit shared, and built on terms set locally.
